The drum will rotate manually, but as soon as I turn the washer on the drum seems to catch and then will not turn at all. Then the motor just hums. I read this is a DC motor, and that if I could turn the drum the motor is good. What would cause the drum to sieze? Any thoughts or suggestions? I already unplugged it to see if it would reset. That did not work. I have the top off and the rear access panel removed. I am hesitant of disassembling the rotor/motor/drum. I found an exploded view on Sear's website and it looks like a real mess inside there. I would appreciate any tips on how to repair this.
