The economics of Michigan is shattering? Have the closing of factories contaminated the water tables?

I traveld I-75 North to detroit and viewed for myself the mid west devastation with factories closing and unemploymnet rampid. For every person i visited with there was at least 1 out 3 knoew someone that had cancer and was at death's door.

  1. You can view the devistation youself. This is a good tool to use before purchasing a home.


  2. yeah, you should have seen it in the 70's when we went through this same thing...everyone i've spoke to says ths "economic downturn" is already as bad as it was then and is going to get worse.

  3. The government is overburdened with debt.  The cheaper the dollar becomes, the easier it is to pay off that debt, while still keeping taxes low.  Whether John Q. Public can eat, or dies of cancer, is not part of the equation.  The cost/benefit ratio is all that matters - as long as the costs to those in power are low, and the benefits to those in power are high, the ratio is correct.
