The eject button doesn't work in iMAC. When I press it, the CD doesn't get out but rather plays. ?

What will I do? Tried other suggestions in the Apple Help website but they didn't work either...

Been a long time since I've actively used a mac, but here's an old trick that dates back to the late '80s or early '90s. There should be a small hold next to the drive bay. Take a paper clip and unfold it. Stick it in that hole. The cd should eject unless the problems are serious, like jammed mechanics. In that case, you'll need to take a screwdriver, open it up, and remove and either repair or more likely replace the drive.

Apple used to list the paperclip as an official computer repair tool.

Note: I'm not sure this still works, it is a very old trick and I am a PC person.
