  4. It's "C"- the shape of a blood drop indicates the angle the droplet was traveling at when it struck the surface as well as the approximate velocity. A drop of blood falling straight down will make a circular stain while a drop cast of with some velocity (i.e. off a baseball bat) will leave an oblong pattern. To see this yourself just take some food coloring and dip something into it then let it simply drip off & fling it off, note the difference.
