Hi, my name is Eddie from El Paso Tx, and I just finished my high school tennis carrer. Its not easy to overcome it, knowing that you would no longer play tennis at a high school level. My question is how to overcome this feeling of sadness?

  1. If you are an USTA member, you could play some more tennis.  There are leagues and tournaments you can enter.  Good luck :)

  2. Keep playing the game. Continuous practice will surely improve your game & participate in tournaments being held to overcome your feeling of sadness. Plus ya get to meet other people, girls too. When ya go to college, you will be a better player too.

    Good times kid. Have fun.

  3. It's happen something like this with me too.

It's sad, I'm figuring out that I'm getting old...

  4. Girls tennis just ended yesterday. :(

Im missing seeing my team and playing.

But theres always next year for me. :)

And for you, you could probably go out with your friends and play

    or join a tennis center.

    Thats what I do.

  5. Its the end of a beautiful chapter in your life.  You move on.  You plan for the next beautiful chapter in your life.  When one door closes, new ones tend to open.  Keep in touch with your teammates.  If you are going to college, try out for their tennis team!  Don't think of it as an end - think of it as a new beginning, and be happy for the things you have and the great memories your high school tennis career brought you.  Go have some ice cream with a teammate and reminisce on old times (over the phone, or in person). And good luck on the journey before you.

  6. You should carry on playing at a local club by becoming a member there. you will soon meet new people and still get the enjoyment of tennis from it. So don't be sad, just be happy it is the beginning of your tennis career!
