The current through the resistor is found to be 0.75 A. What is the potential difference between the terminals of the battery?

  1. use the ohms law... V=IR

    v voltage(potential diff)

    I current

    R resistnce

    therefore V = .75*8- 6v

    but this only works in an ohmic resistor


  2. Ohm's Law

    V = IR

    V = 0.75 * 8

    V = 6
