Gilgamesh lived around 2600 BC.

Gilgamesh was a cruel king before Enkidu came. He abused his power, and he slept with all the women before their husbands could.

Enkidu killed the Bull of Heaven, which was sent to avenge Ishtar because Gilgamesh rejected her sexual advances (on the grounds that her lovers came to unhappy endings). For killing the Bull without divine permission (and even the death of Humbaba is mentioned here as a crime), the gods sentence Enkidu to die.
