well this just got me thinking liverpool have not beaten MANCHESTER UNITED home or away since they got to keep the trophy so i have a few questions,

(a) do you think the trophy has jinxed a field ?

(b) when you lose do all the fans huddle around the trophy cabinet and reminisce ?

(c) on 13th sept when MANCHESTER UNITED beat liverpool yuk at a field will all the liverpool fans stay behind and wait for stevie g to bring out the "REAL" trophy and the crowd will spontaneously burst into "we won it 5 times, we won it 5 times........zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz ?

(d) if you remeber the posting and answered it please state your age or shoe size (generally the same) and provide a link so everyone else can see how much of a prat you really are.

  1. Wrong!!!

    FA Cup 5th Round February 18 2006

    Liverpool 1 Man Utd 0

  2. well said giggsy , as we all know liverpool have only got the past to talk about and they hate it when other teams fans do the same , each club can produce facts that can better liverpools including my team as we can call on Dixie Dean who scored 60 goals in 1 season most clubs accept this as fact but liverpool hate it

ha ha ha see what i mean by the thumbs down from the saddo's

  3. Let them Liverpool fans live in their past glory. And yes, I am very sure we will beat Liverpool at Anfield come 13th September- with or without Ronaldo.

  4. get off your jealous horse giggsy.we won it 5times and its ours.we dont scare the refs we play fair win or lose we take it and we dont complain,we have not got skytv to back us up we also have the best loyal supporting fans in the world.when we get tired and start losing we dont say we are playing too many games.just shut up and dont start a fight ,you may end up losing.history is on our side, facts tell the truth.

  5. Let Liverpool fans live in the past since it's the only thing they have to look forward too.

  6. We've won it five times,

    We've won it five ti-i-imes,

    Istanbuuuuuuuul,

    We won it five times!

His armband proved he was a red,

    TORRES! TORRES!

You'll never walk alone it said,

    TORRES! TORRES!

We bought the lad from sunny Spain,

He gets the ball he scores again,

    Fer-nan-do Torr-es, Liverpool's No.9!

Did I mention that we've won it five times? Did you know that's a British record? More than Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea put together?

I love your questions Giggsy, me old chum :)

  7. Why do people really show themselves up at times with their ignorance.

Both Liverpool and 'little' Nottingham Forest won the proper UEFA Champions trophy more than 'super massive' Manchester United.

Unfortunately, incidents at a decrepit Belgian stadium meant that all English teams where blocked from entering the various European tournaments at a time when super Manchester United couldn't win an egg and spoon race.

As for the European tournaments now, they are a joke, cobbled together in a way to keep the 'super greedy super clubs' happy.

The Champions League, never has there been a more unsuitable name for a competition. If it's for champions, then why are the teams up to 4th place in some countries allowed into it. It should be renamed the greedy bas*ards league.

Next question. Why should a team who has been proved not good enough for the champions league at the group stages, as United once where, having had a minimum of SIX  European paynights, then be allowed to enter the UEFA Cup, the lesser European competition?

There is a very simple answer. GREED  or MONEY. whichever you want to call it.

The only reason that teams like United, Arsenal, and the rest suddenly became better was on the advent of Sky T.V. Who was willing to throw silly money to get the rights, and where as before, it was great just to wait to watch mid week highlights, now because of the saturation of football on television, it's become boring, and very few, if any games really catch the imagination, simply because there is that much, and there are som many simulators in the game who go down like pansies in the breeze if anyone goes near them.

Football was a mans game, with true men,  not pansies like Ronaldo, Drogba and quite a few others who go down like they've been shot if anyone gets near them.

They are lucky to be playing ina generation where there are no proper men on the pitch, like your own Roy Keane was, or Jimmy Case, Graeme Souness, Julian *****, Stuart Pearce, or if you want to go back further, Norman Hunter, Jack Charlton, Tommy Smith, Ron Harris.

  8. Giggs why all this about liverpool are we not allowed to be proud of whe we have done is that so wrong

    no ANFIELD is not jinxed

no we don t but we carry on supporting our team win or loose

as i said you can t tell the future nor can i you don t know you will beat us

  9. Mike t misses a very important point in his criticisms-namely that winning their last two CL trophies, United played 13 games including the final. When Liverpool won the trophy in the 70's, they played 9 games including the final in 1977, and only 7 in 1978, as they were the holders. During the 1999 CL campaign United played, and beat, Inter, Juve, Bayern, and drew twice with Barcelona. In the 2008 campaign, United played (and beat) Chelsea, Lyon, Barcelona, & Roma. In their 1977 & 78 successes, Liverpool faced the might of those giants of European football, Trabzonspor, Brugge, Dresden, St Etienne, Borussia Moenchengladbach, & FC Zurich. The only genuinely respectable time they've won the CL, they had finished 4th in the premier league the season before, a full 30 points behind winners Arsenal........so by Mike t's argument that (it pains me to say it as a Manc, but credit where it's due) outstanding 2005 win after being 3-0 down against a pretty legendary Milan side is somehow less of an accomplishment than their other previous successes. So presumably he wasn't cheering at all when they won that year?

Sorry Mike t, your arguments are bollocks.

  10. hahahahha...@ the problem..sing em again my friend!hahhahaha

  11. digging again giggsy lol.. I've just read mike's reply and he makes a good argument for Liverpool and little Forrest... but what he fails to see is the fact that the C/L as it is now not only has the champions of the bigger footballing nations it also has the cream of all the big footballing nations. thus making the UEFA cup that Liverpool won a bit of a joke...and the C/L far more difficult to win.. of which we have won more times than Liverpool and little ole Forrest ?? 20 years ago i think that was pre SAF the greatest football manager to grace the English football league....

giggsy you forgot to mention the littlewoods pools money liverpool used to have when the rest of us had nothing... but i'm sure that was fair for us all tho ??
