The ever-aggressive Lewis Hamilton vows to stay calm
The McLaren driver, Lewis Hamilton, though stands in a pretty tough situation at the moment, yet he has vowed to stay calm and peaceful at the last round of the season. The thrilling and adventurous 2010 Formula One season is ready to unfold its final episode,
at the exhilarating track of Yas Marina, Abu Dhabi this Sunday. As the Formula One caravan gets ready to enter its last rendezvous, Hamilton proclaimed that he is not feeling any pressure rather he is ready to embrace another fulfilled round of a season that
would be cherished for long.
Although the chances of the chocolate skinned driver still remain alive yet they breathe feebly. Hamilton currently holds 4th place in the drivers’ championship and stands 24 points adrift the charts’ topper, Fernando Alonso. With only one more
race to go and just 25 more points to play for, the probability of the driver snatching the title remains very little.
Only if Hamilton is able to win the next round while Alonso comes out pointless and both the Red Bull drivers, Mark Webber and Sebastian Vettel, who currently hold 3rd and 4th places in the charts end below podium, the driver would
be able to stamp the second championship of his career.
As the 25-year-old returned from the Brazilian track last Sunday he very vividly announced to the reports that only a ‘miracle’ could now grant him the championship.
However, the British driver exclaimed that this is not the first time he is going through such an intense tug for the title. He explained saying, "I've been in the hunt for the world championship at the final race of the season on two previous occasions,
so I know all about the pressure you feel when the title is almost within touching distance.”
On the other hand, this kind of stress and chase for the title is completely alien for both the Red Bull drivers as they are fighting a close title battle for the very first time. So, the real fear for Hamilton currently is Alonso who is not only very well
adjusted with the strain and stress of the title war, but has also won it twice.
Despite of all the ills and odds, the 2008 world Champion is determined to race his best next weekend. While talking to the reporters earlier today he said, "I know from personal experience that the championship isn't over until you cross the line on the
final lap, so I'll not only make sure I'm up there at the end, but pushing hard until the very end. It's going to be a brilliant spectacle, and a great event for Formula 1 fans around the world."
