The exorcist and real life situations...

Question

I saw the exorcist two weeks ago and it really freaked me out. I'm no longer scared but more just incredibly intersted about the whole thing. (For people who havn't seen it, it's about a girl who gets 'possesed' by the devil)

Has this ever really happened? I've talked to my friends a little about it but i think they were worried i was looking too much into it and totally freaking myself out so they just said it's just a movie and nothing like that has ever happened and they told me to stop researching it. I can't though...i find this type of thing so interesting.

I saw a couple of videos on youtube which claim to be real life exorcisms but i can't be sure of it.

Does the 'devil' ever posses anyone or are these people mentally ill or doesn this just never happen.?

I'm not religeous so i personally think that (if this does happen) it's probably a mental illness.

What are your thoughts on this?

The movie the exorcist was supposedly based on a true story. It really did happen in Georgetown but not in the same area. Hollywood enhanced it but that is what they do.

Do not be decieved by Hollywood and it's antics..however, you only need to see the terrorists beheading people (usually Christians) on the internet to answer your question...it has long been believed, that people can be demon possessed, and the only one who can remove it, is their own person acceptance of Jesus Christ, the only One, who can remove it, not some Catholic Priest, or any other MAN on Earth...I do believe that satan inhabits people these days, his minions, his creatures, his use of human bodies, to perpertrate evil on others..oh yes, just look into the eyes of a murderer...you will see it

Most people believe lies more than they believe the truth because most truths either hurt or sound unreal. It does not matter that someone doesn't believe  in the truth because the truth will always be true without our belief in it. Lies on the other hand need our belief in them to seem truthful.

There are two types of truths , the ones you believe in and the ones you don't.

There are  two types of lies, the ones you know that are a lies and the ones you believe to be true.

Before you can unmask the lie you must have experienced the truth. If you haven't your belief will be neither a lie or the truth; it will be only an unsupported opinion.

There are also two ways for finding the truth or uncovering a lie, one is experience and the other is is to be found in meditation....
