  1. When one increases the depth of cut on increases the resistance, hence the increase in required force.

    The rake angle has a primary influence on cutting forces and consequently the cutting torque and surface finish, this is the angle in the cutting tool itself with the vertical line passing through the edge of the tool. It can be positive or negative angle.
