what power contact lens is needed to correct the vision of a person who has a far point of 1.00 m? If this person has a normal 8.00% ability to accommodate (increase) the power of her eyes, what is the closest object she will be able to see clearly with contacts on?

  1. Accommodation is measured in diopters, not percent. I assume you mean 8 diopters of accommodation. Without corrective lenses, the person can focus from a far point of 1 m to a near point of 1/9th m. With corrective lenses, he could focus from a far point of infinity to a near point of 1/8th m.
