He suggested that the fans show their full support and devotion to the club, hence the team should not let them
down.
Ahead of Madrid’s Copa del Rey clash against Alcoyano, Mourinho mused that the players should consider the feelings of the Santiago Bernabeu faithful and perform at their best. He added that being one of the most prestigious clubs in Europe, Real Madrid

The current Spanish champions will take on their opponents from the third tier of domestic Spanish football in midweek. The fixture is the second leg of the knock-out phase encounter between the two sides.
The first leg of the fixture was easily won by Los Vikingos as they travelled away from home. It was a triumphant outing for the Spanish giants as they were 4-1 victors over the minnows.
Hence, Mourinho has maintained that a similar result should be secured in the upcoming match.
"We have to play at our best and if we don't get through it would be a total catastrophe, but we have an obligation to people to take the match with the seriousness that the competition and Alcoyano deserve,” the 49-year-old told reporters.
"Tickets will be more affordable and cost less than they normally do, but we have to justify every penny that the fans pay and justify them coming out of their houses in the cold at 2130 to see a Second Division B team. We have to give these people what
they will demand and they will whistle with every right to do so.”
Real Madrid versus Alcoyano will take place at the Santiago Bernabeu in midweek.
