The fuel from my 49cc petrol scooter isn't getting through the carby. ?

The fuel is going into the carby and then coming out through the air hose, and going back into the petrol tank. HELP!?

  1. For future reference, always give year, make, engine size and model # when asking questions. We need all of that info to give an informed answer.

    4 stroke - leaking intake valve. The compression of the engine would blow the fuel out of the intake valve, back through the carby into the air box.

    2 stroke - non sealing reed valves. Same thing, but when the fuel is on the transfer cycle.

    Both type engines - low compression wouldn't create enough vacuum to suck the fuel into the cylinder.
