  1. well if the pink ball will last out the match better than the white one then i think it would be better to use them, better than replace the white ball with a "refurbished" white one after 35 overs

    as long as the ball lasts out the 50 overs required and can be seen quite well then i dont care what colour it is

  3. The white cricket balls may soon become history.The ICC is likely to introduce pink balls for day and night one day matches.Expriments have already commenced with the pink ball and the response has been good.

    The white ball was introduced during the rebel world cricket series in 1978 by Kerry Packer.

    It took three decades to discover the white balls are losing colour quickly, get dirty faster and turning out to be difficult for the batsmen to spot.

    Last monday,the pink ball was used in men's cricket at lord's during a match between MCC and Scotland.

    MCC holds the responsibility of the game.

    The MCC is keen to have pink balls being used in the 2009 twenty20 world cupto be held in England.

    The pink ball may get the approval only after finding out whether fielders will find it difficult to catch itas the clour of the ball can get mixed with the colourful dress of the spectators in the stands.

  6. the Pink Ball has been performing good and it lasts a bit longer than   a regular White Ball. and it is more Visible

  7. We have to wait and watch. Dont know how its going to look like in the night matches. What will be interestins to see is whether they have just changed the color or even the material.

    Fluorescent pink balls  have better visibility compared to white balls

    So, it's good that  pink balls  will replace white in limited overs cricket sometime in the future.
