campaigner to lead them into the next season as well, but the former Napoli head coach went on to state that he was looking to take a break from football.
The Lazio management then went on to sign the services of Vladimir Petkovic, who has been an unknown quantity in the Serie A due to his inexperience. There was a fear that the new coach would not be able to fill the departing shadow of Edy Reja who had been
successful in the limited budget that he had been given.
However, the newly appointed head coach has not disappointed in the least bit and has secured three victories from the four matches that they have played so far in the Serie A. He further went on to comment that the result of the fifth match day of the Serie A would be far reaching and commented that he expects the team who wins the Napoli-Lazio match to be the one contending for the Scudetto against Juventus.
The former head coach of Young Boys went on to comment that they need to have staunch belief in their abilities and also in their abilities to perform to their greatest potential. He went on to comment:
“It will be an important game for the rest of the season. But I think both teams will continue to fight at the top of the standings. And then we'll see who can fight with Juventus. The important thing in Naples is to have rhythm. Nobody is stronger than
us. We have to have this belief and show our worth on the field.”
Lazio will be travelling to Naples to take on the Vesuviani at the Stadio San Paolo.
