  1. Like many rivers in developing nations, by over utilization (extraction) of this resource.

  2. it is not thrtned by the above problems. but it is facing extinction due to reducing size of the glaciers thru which it is fed.due to global warming the glaciers are melting at an alarming rate.

  3. uhm......................river rafting?????i'm so guessing

  4. a)  Over extraction of water.......

Actually this option is a vague one!

Ganges is having such a huge quantity of flow, that just extraction wont threaten it. Most of the extraction has return floes! Its actually the quality degradation, especially by the industries along her banks, that is threatening. Many leather tanning industries are releasing their toxic effluents into the river which is a serious threat. The Ganga Action Plan(GAP) was formed to study the ill effects of the pollution and improve the river water quality, but miserably failed, thanks to the politics....So its not the extraction quantity, its the quality which is of concern

  5. It's A) extraction of water. The Ganges River is primarily used for bathing and to supply water for the people that visit it. I highly doubt river rafting would be a threat, let alone be done on such a regular basis where it could become a threat.
