  1. I think it is A smooth muscle, from what I've learned, the trachea rings have the trachealis muscle that connects the "C" shaped cartilage rings on the dorsal part.


  2. C.  The glottis and epiglottis close when we swallow to direct food and liquids backwards toward the esophagus so that it does not enter the lungs.
