The geese are flying already

Question

I was quite surprised last night to see several groups of 4-6 geese flying over the agricultural campus fields. It seems so early.

in boston they aren't flying yet - just from the golf course to the fenway.

don't say that summer is over already! it's only august!

Yes, there are about 30 on my pond right now, and I heard many more this morning as they passed through. It does seem a bit early to me. I should start keeping records.

The way the weather is here one day they fly south, the next day north.

Must be confusing to be a goose!

Depends where you live.  Here in southern Arizona, when my wife wants a Christmas goose, she has to bend over.
