The giants of genesis?

anyone want to go into detail of the giants mentioned in Genesis 6?

Supposedly Angels reproduced with human women resulting in giants. I saw a documentary about how old myths came about. Nobody new what dinosaurs were thousands of years ago. God decided we were on a need to no basis apparently. People would find these bones and not knowing what they were they assumed they were remains of giant humans and some various other mythical creatures.

Babalonian carvings show that the human race was smaller then too - and the women bearing these mixed race offspring had to have the babies cut out.

These 'giants' are called the Nephilim. They were men of great renown. Fathered by those called the sons of God. It is believed, because of the reference to 'sons of God', that these are in fact fallen angels. They saw that the daughters of men, women, were beautiful and these giants were the result. Half human, half angel. Verse 4 says that although the giants all died in the flood, after the flood there were more. It is thought that Goliath and his ancestors are part of the Nephilim. As far as I know this line has died out. Hope this helps.

Since Genesis is a book of fictional stories I would think that any giants mentioned in it would also be fictional.

They were aliens no doubt about it.  I am serious - hey they believe in a god who can do anything - talk about getting real.
