why were gabes eyes of such intrest to jonas?

Because it was the same as Jonah's, and it was a very rare eye color.

oh i hated that book. well his eyes were of interest because they were different than everyone elses. i believe it was blue or somewthing...idk dont take me for sure i read it last year, but you can try sparknotes.com to give you an answer for sure

jonas, gabe, and another girl in the community are the only ones with pale eyes. Everybody else has dark eyes

Because they were the same colour eyes as Jonas and The Giver which led him to believe that Gabe could receive memories.

That book was entertaining at the time I read it, though I did spot some contradictions like the inability to see colour, but the ability to see a 'pink' bike; however that could have been placed to show ignorance.
