Question:

The golf team is making cuts, and I know I will be?

But the thing is they won't make the cuts until after we play at a course. The thing is, my first time going to the course a day ago, I think I hit over 70 on 9 holes. I kept hitting grounders and driving the ball into the trees or to the side. I took lessons, but I wasn't aware that they were going to be making cuts (this is the first year they are). And the truth is, everyone on the team is a lot better and more experience than I am.

Should I save myself the humiliation and tell her I wasn't aware they were going to be making cuts, and just ask if I can just leave without having to do the course?

  1. You go and play on that course.  You didn't do too bad for your first time.  You might look back and regret not even trying if you don't.  It's better to have tried and failed than to have never tried at all.  Good luck!

  2. play, you could see some better players that could help you improve

  3. Maybe tell the coach your not ready for it yet, give yourself some more time to get the hang of the game.

    Have a good one...

  4. Don't quit!!!! This is your chance to make the team and not only you feel the pressure. Even if you don't make the cut at least you can walk away with saying that you tried.

You never know,Others may not shoot their best games and you will make it!

Go out there and give it your best shot!!

    Good Luck!!

  5. Play. Worst case scenario you have a high score and don't make the team = the same result as not playing at all.

So go play, enjoy the round, and watch the other players to see what they do to be "a lot better" than you.
