Actually own shares in John Lewis were many of the goods were purchased to enhance their already lavish lifestyle, and if so as there been a conflict of interest and if this proves to be the case, will this be investigated.

  1. They’re sneakier than that.

    If they have investments they put them in a ‘blind trust’ i.e. they do not know what is in the investment portfolio - so they cannot be accused of conflicts of interest.


  2. There are no shares listed for John Lewis, it is not a public company.

  3. This decision has come far too late!It is Labour pandering to the masses prior to a General Election Announcement!'These MPs are craftier than a cart load of monkeys'!

  4. I would say that judging by their previous record, it is highly likely to be the case of some vested interest.  However as usual if investigated, the case  wouldnt come to anything just waste more of our money
