  1. Why do they all go abroad whenever it suits them too, one rule for them another for us eh.

  2. Well...

    1) Most TV programs aren't filmed nor funded by the gov't, they're made by corporations like WB, etc.

    2) Let's say the US population cut its air travel by a thousandth of a percent.  That would be 110 flights per year. (source: 33,000 flights per day in US times 365 days per year times 0.00001).  How many helicopter flights does it take to make a TV program?  Certainly less than 110, I would imagine.  I'm not disagreeing with you that it's wasteful, I'm just saying that if, for example, we all want to see the volcano from the air, it's better to satify our desire for that by sending one helicopter over it to film it for a TV show, instead of having each of us fly over it whenever we each go on vacation.

  3. i shall carry on going on hols abroad, for one thing thing its cheaper than staying in the uk,

  4. Or worse how about the fact that right now our lovely officials are trying to figure out how to handle the 5 BILLION dollars in tax short fall this year.  That's right they are 5 Billion short on tax receipts of the GAS TAX because we are indeed using less.  This is why they are never really serious about cutting fuel use, they take in huge amounts of tax on it.

Here is the source for this, not less then the Wall Street Journal
