The government needs to stop spending money?

What does the government spend money on and how can we stop them from spending money?

The largest chunk of our money goes to paying for Socialist welfare type programs. Next is payment on the national debt. which will become the main budget item if Socialism continues to fail (as it always has, check the historical records) and we stop wasting assets on it.

What we need to spend money on is things the Federal Government SHOULD spend money on.

Maintaining security and infrastructure.

Today the US Government is in the hands of a few who are corrupt to the core and hence the mindless Government spending in all non development plans and the expenses are mounting which has already set in motion of a economic depression!

The people have to bring the change in the white house to see what the best Mr.Obama would bring  home!

For two reasons to buy votes from the voters with programs like welfare and the such for special interest groups and to pay off the favors to those lobbyists who helped them raise money for their campaign. In short they making their rich buddies richer by paying em off with YOUR TAX money!

Remember, they are spending most of this money on you. Most government money ends up in schools, hospitals, highway maintenance, public building projects etc. Personally, i'd rather they kept spending.....

The government of the PEOPLE pander to the people.  The people spend money out of control and this is reflected in our government.  The people must make the changes, the government is not going to.  If you don't like the way things are going, stop complaining and get out there and make change happen.

The major drain has been the Iraq war. It has cost about 1 trillion dollars that the American government simply doesn't have. And since the government doesn't have it they borrow it from China, Japan and Germany. So you can imagine the interest on 1 trillion dollars.

Some Republicans label dems as "tax and spend". Well republicans have proven there motto to be "Spend and borrow". To make up for this we need to increase revenue from the rich by dropping the tax cuts on the top two percent of Americans. Furthermore, our money should not be given to Exxon, to accelerate its rape of America by gas prices.
