The great competitor Boher Paddy has been revoked from Betfred Steel City Cup semifinals
Trainer Charlie Lister’s champion, Boher Paddy, has been pulled out from the prestigious event, Betfred Steel City Cup.
The semifinals of the Betfred Steel City Cup are scheduled on the 16th of August at the Sheffield Stadium.
The 500 meters race carries a total prize money of £900 while the winner will recieve a purse of £200.
The three-year-old has 16 starts in his career till now and according to his previous records, there was a great chance for him to win the race and enter the final, which is scheduled on the 23rd of August at the same venue. The total prize money
is £9,500 and the purse for the winner will be £7,500.
The son of Balintore Brave out of Knock Princess was born on the 22nd of October, 2008. The black male greyhound had his first race on 15th June, 2010, at Sheffield.
In the beginning of his career, Boher Paddy broke his maiden under the training of Charlie Lister and won a purse of £150 in the Grade Or Owlerton Stadium 480 Puppy. The champion covered the distance in 27 minutes and 90 seconds.
From the 15th of June, 2010, till the 2nd of November, 2010, he has been standing firm on the first position.
The second race of his career was a 500 meters' race held on 29th June, 2010, in Sheffield. He had a good start and raced exceptionally well to achieve the purse of £150.
The victorious greyhound started running on the path of success and provided huge excitement, not only to his trainer, but also to his fans, by finishing almost every race at first position.
Boher Paddy is one of those greyhounds to have a very bright career start and with the help of Charlie Lister's amazing efforts as a trainer, he has maintained his acclamation.
Charlie Lister’s champ has had 16 starts from which he has 12 wins, with one second position and two third positions.
The British greyhound has raced in the stadiums of Sheffield, Nottingham and Wimbledon, collecting glory.
His latest race was at the same venue, at Sheffield, where he had to race for the semifinals, before he was taken out of the game.
The race, Betfred Steel City Cup's Heat 2, took place on 9th August.
The victorious greyhound had a great chase and was in the leading position from the beginning of the race, defeating his five contenders to win the purse of £150.
His worst performance was in Heat 4 of Williamhill.com Greyhound Derby's 3rd Round, where he came fifth. The race was held in Wimbledon on 28th May, 2011.
Due to the fact that Boher Paddy, who was expected to start his race from trap 3, has been withdrawn from the race, now the race will be held amongst five greyhounds.
