The great depression needs to happen again?

People will appreciate stuff more, and stop worrying about stupid technological stuff like ipods, unnecessary cellphones, stupid hd bluray plasma tv. We dont appreciate what we have already have and want more. This world is so messed so i really think that an depression would help us appreciate eerything. Does anyone else agree?

People get chocked cause i dont have the latest mobile, i dont even use it nd they look at me like at me like theres something wrong with me.

I really wish we could go back to ime wehere people had to work hard and really appreciated the things tey had.

Somethin need to happen or else everything will get worse.

I don't think we should hope for a depression but we can't ignore what is happening to our economy.  There are already so many people without jobs and more are losing the ones they have.  Prices are going up but everyone's incomes are staying the same.  Unless something is done, we may have a dark future ahead of us.  I doubt a depression these days will be as bad as it was in the 1930's I don't think it will be pretty either.

I think you need to think more about just how bad the Great Depression was before you start wishing for another one. Almost half of the population of the USA were unemployed. People lost their homes, farmers couldn't sell their crops, there were places called 'Hoovervilles' full of people living in cardboard boxes. Consumerism is a small price to pay for having a home, job, and food.

I agree about people not appreciating and putting their love into materials ( family life isnt the same because of it but I dont think the great depression would be the answer but like the post before me it can  become worst alot worst than the great depression because we already have so many poor and struggling that it may leave to more mayhem riots, stealing, murders, it  WILL become a nightmare

i think your going a a tad too extreme. be more tolerant, smile more. ok?
