The majority of the Egyptian pyramids come from the eras referred to as The Old Kingdom and the Intermediate Periods.

This dates them from c2700 BCE approx.-c.2500BCE approx.

There were many pyramids constructed as eternal resting places throughout Egypt, but only 133 have survived the attempts of man and time and have been registered and   are now under the protection of the S.C.A.(supreme council of antiquities), Egypt.
