I have a 5 month old iguana, named Marley. The very first night I got him, He jumped out of my hand and ran under the entertainment center, I looked all night and couldn't find him. Five nights later my dad opened the bottom door and there say my Marley on top of everything. We got him eating and everything, and he seems fine. He eats like a horse, he swims, and he peels and he's active. We just bumped him up from a 20 gal. tank to a 55. He is just very very tiny. He is about 13 inches long, but he looks healthy. I worry because my cousin has 2 iguanas that we got at the same time as Marley and theyre much much larger than him. Why is he not growing like the other iguanas? Do I need to worry?

  1. Marley might be a girl iguana.  They do not get as big as the males.  It sounds like you are doing the right things and he is healthy so maybe he is due for a growth spurt any day now.
