Sara is completely correct on this one! I read that the investigators could not stay down there for very long because there was so little air available. Imagine what it was like living trapped underground for all those years like that where you could not even take a decent breath of air, no windows or ventilation. The industry standard is two complete changes of room air every 30 minutes!
