I was sooo excited to go to get my hair cut at this studio today and i did. So i brought 2 pictures of hayley williams's simplest haircuts. and i got quiteeeee a bit of length cut off. too much length. and then i asked to big side swept bangs which she totally screwed up anyways. and to add to the fun, i asked to huge choppy layers. i didnt get huge choppy layers, i got like gross totally horrible looking things. anyways, she said to use Pomade. so i went to CVS [[after some muchly unwanted crying]] and got some got2b hair pomade. and i was looking to texturize and flip up the ends of the horribly done layers. and it didnt do anything but make it look greasy.

PLEASE HELP ME i have been crying all day not knowing what to do with this... PLEASE PLEASE PLEASEEE tell me all you can. also i dont want sympothy or empathy just HELP! agh!

  1. I honestly don't think your hair looks bad at all. I think it looks really cute.  Infact, I just got my hair cut yesterday and it looks very much like yours.

I think what you need is moose.  And use it very lightly. Don't use too much.  And you also might want to try teasing it underneath the layers to make them stand out more.

  2. put baking powder in your shampoo (a teaspoon) and it shouldnt look greasy

  3. You are likely using too much product.  A very little pomade goes a long way.  Try a very small amount and rub it between your palms and just sort of squeeze it onto pieces of your hair.  If you are not happy with your cut, you could go back to the salon and ask for an adjustment, or try a more reputable salon.

  4. I have SO been there too many times to count. I'm so sorry you were the victim of a horrible hair dresser.

Firstly the product she recommended. Many salons have franchises with products, so the more of that product they sell, the more that salon makes... doesn't mean they are any good or the right chemical balance for your hair.

    Now onto the cut.

You can see by the photo that you took that you needed to get foils, for color as well as a style & cut. This is why it's best to go to a top salon and pay the top dollar for an excellent stylist, for example, do you know who has won hairdresser of the year in your area for the past several years? Do you know who styles most of the hair in say, Vogue or Harpers? These are where you should be looking. Don't be afraid of these people. They are usually great. I sent my husband off to a very famous salon, they do stars etc, and he got a top cut for $80. It was not what we were quoted either... much much less than what we were quoted, but it looks great.

These people know what will work with your face, the same with color. And it's worth paying for their knowledge. I've had some horrid hair disasters and sometimes there really is no going back from them unless you really love hats.

You don't have to tell these people how to cut your hair, you just show them a picture and say I want hair like this, can you do it to my hair, and they will actually look for about 10 minutes weighing up options with you. It's such a difference to the run of the mill salon.

It's such a horrible feeling when your hair has been mangled, but is there anyway you can get into a star salon? They can fix up your hair with color and maybe funk it up a little. Sure it won't be the picture but it could be inspired by the picture. I'd take the picture along, tell them that the hairdresser mangled your hair and this is what you ended up with and now it's up to them to give you the edgy funky cut you were looking for. Ask them what they suggest. Don't ever suggest anything - you want to know what they are thinking.

Remember, if you don't like what they are thinking, you can LEAVE and have nothing done. But if you go to an award winning salon, I'm sure you'll end up in good hands.

That is what I would do. That is what I'd recommend to my friends. I can only hope it helps you.

    All the best!

  5. Actually it looks like th ecut is about what she has. Its hard to say w your pics but you can work w/ it. The pomade.....usually everyone uses too much. You need just a tiny bit....like not even quite the size of a pea. then rub in both hands like lotion. Then rub both hands thru your hair pretty quickly...all thru it....then come back and start piecing it out with your fingers. It takes some practice but you can learn.

  6. Aww Hun, Your allowed to cry!

    i would cry too.

but, You know what, Its okay.

Truthfully, your hair looks average but it does not look anything like those pictures ,and obviously thats not how you wanted.

I SUGGEST TO GO BACK TO YOUR STUDIO AND TELL YOUR STYLIST PERSON TO GIVE BACK YOUR MONEY.

And she cut your hair way too short cause now you cant get choppy looks because it'll look way too awkward

. And the stylist person is a r****d because you dont use pomade for those reasons, you use pomade to make your hair shiny, and reduce the frizz and if you use too much pomade, it looks like a greasy mess!

I can help you but But It will most definetly not look like the picture because she screwed up your hair too short so you wont get that exact look,

anyways, LMAO Pomade is not for flipping ends AT ALL.

use garnier fructis style pliable clay for long lasting texture at the ends of your hair and then flip it THEN, you put the garnier fructis spray gel for intense texture  or any long lasting hold hairspray on your flipped ends and it should stay for long.

    That should help =)

    Good luck!
