I did my highlights at home (purple)

I followed all the Instructions CORRECTLY

I Washed my hair before,

My sister has blonde hair so It showed perfectly

But the purple doesnt show on my Dark Brown hair,

It said to leave on for 30mins and I did,

My sister said maybe its because my hair is still wet,

Is she right?

  1. She prbably is.

You must wash then dye then leave in for about 30-45 mins.

Once your done that WASH IT OUT.    Then dry it once COMPLETELY dry you will see it.

I have darkbrown/blackish hair and it showed heaps once it was dry.

  2. If you have dark brown hair you have to dye it blonde first or bleach it and then dye it purple. The dark brown is too dark to show purple sorry!

  3. she may be right...blow dry your hair and see if it turned...usually its takes more than once to color dark hair to a purple or red color..take it from someone whose died their hair alot..blow dry your hair and see what it looks like and then straighten it if needed and if its not light enough do it again and that time it should turn out perfect...

    good luck!!!!

  4. let it dry a bit then blow dry it

  5. just do it again. and this time, leave it in for like 45 or 50 minutes. that will work (:

  6. well was your hair dry when you applied the dye? it should've been. even if it does dry after washing, the purple might not pop out as much due to the color volume similarity, unless the purple is like ultra radiant

  7. they wont show up on dark hair at all no matter how long u leave it in, u might only get a tint of purple, u will have to lighten your hair with bleach before you apply the purple so it will become visible... be careful not to overprocess though... condition the bleached areas of your hair before u apply the purple dye..

  8. Yes, your sister should be right.

My friend got purple highlights and I came to visit her so I could see them. She was in the pool so I had to wait until the next week until I could see them.

  9. More than likely she's right. Your hair is always a darker color when it's wet, and if you already have dark hair that's not helping. I'm sure it'll look awesome when your hair is dry though.

  10. they dont work on dark hair usually.

i had the same problem, you could only

see them a little bit in the sun.

  11. Sense you have darker hair the purple wont show up until your hair drys.

and if you really did do the directions correctly then there shouldn't be any problems. :)

  12. yes she may be right

  13. Yes it's hard to see when the hair is wet. Blowdry it and then go from there. I think you'll be able to see it though once you do that.
