I need all the information about the homeless in 17th century Europe. How did they spend their days and nights, did they die quickly from disease, what would poeple say to them, what did poeple think of them?

And what did the towns of that time look like and what did the houses look like. An if you have any information about the social roles....

please try to answer...it would be a big help. Thank you.

  1. they probably still look like how you would dress if you were in the 17th century.but they will have torn clothes and smell real bad.imagine the homeless in caveman days.

  2. Well I can talk about London:

There were many people on the streets, begging, starving, thieving and quarreling. They were called 'paupers', Charles II ruled that they would have to go back to their parish where they were born and get benifits from them. But those who could not work might have been supported "impotent" and those who could made to do labour for there work.

They were all probably stinking and covered in lice. People wouldn't say much to them just tell them to get out of their way if they are begging.

Theres a little bit of information for you.

If you can get hold of the book, Restoration London, it's fantastic.

    Hope this helps.
