  1. heck ya i bawled

  2. I ADORE that movie! It makes me bluber like a baby when the song "Sound the bugel" comes on (the song when Spirit is in the train and he looking out the window and sees the snow and imagines it's his herd), because it reminds me of my cat that I lost :'( (the lyrics remind me of her).

It was all so sad, but at times pretty funny. That is one of the best horse movies, I think I'm guna watch it tonight :)

  3. well i think it all depends on the person. my mom got teary too but i didn't. i don't think i means your weak or anything like that. but some people just can't watch sad movies.

  4. Spirit is one of my very favorite movies. I still cry every time I see it!

I thought the part was so sad when they first caught him and his mom started coming down the hill and he yelled at her to stay away 'cause he didn't want her to get caught too. I listened to the maker's commentary, and they said that they spent ages on this ranch recording real horse sounds for the movie. I think they did a great job in fitting those sounds to each situation! And oh my gosh, I LOVE the music and songs, and the artwork is so beautiful!! What a great movie all around!

  5. Omg! I know! I cry EVERYTIME! You have a sensitive spot for horses!

My fav part was "Get off of my back"! I agree with the saddest Part!

  6. I LOVED that movie! My favorite part is when they're trying to break him and he's like "oh yeah? Watch this!" And he throws them off over and over and over again. And then the one guy thinks he won and BAM! On the ground, rolls him off like he was a panther! HA!

ADD: It's also really neat how they used the horse's ears and facial expressions to tell the story without making him talk. It shows you how much you can really read from a horse's expressions, and how much they have to say :)

  7. Thank Heaven I'm not the only one that chokes up and cries over horse races and movies!!  Thought I had 'sappy' stamped on my forehead there for a while. . .

John Fusco (screenwriter/producer) is very involved with the Spanish horses. He named Spirit's mother in honor of the real Spanish Mustang mare, Esperanza (Hope).

  8. I LOOOVVVEEE That movie. I dug it out the other day, and watched it. Still makes me upset when they load all the horses into the train to make them haul the other train up the hill.

I love the two main songs. Get off of my back, and I will always return. That one gets me everytime.

  9. Nope, I teared up as well even though I felt really stupid and weak too. I just came to the conclusion that there is just something so moving about wild horses, even cartoon horses with eyebrows =]. It's a great movie. I have aspirations of one day having a buckskin named Spirit, even though that's pretty frivolous and a tiny bit cliche. Maybe I'll just get a stuffed animal and stick with my bay TB named Mac.

  10. Spirit: Stallion of the Cimmaron!

I love that movie! It was so sad! Being the softy I am, yes, I did cry ='[. Don't make fun D=! LOL

  11. I LOVED that movie!!! It makes my eye tear up but whether you are a true horse lover or not- it is just about freedom. You put yourslef in Spirits shoes and you realize you enjoy being free. The producers and writer did a good job because they made you feel emotion for a fictional charachter!

  12. well it can mean anything.

  13. This is one of my favorite movies of all time.

I love every minute of it.

It's funny, sad, and beautiful. It makes you feel every emotion.

After I saw it I went and got almost every figurine,

    stuffed animal, I could find.

If anybody hasn't seen this movie, go see it.

  14. Never cried during that movie, it a cute movie tho.  I do own Rain, well she is a copy of the the horse from from that movie and her name is Rain.  A friend has a mustang stallion looks just like Spirit, maybe we should get those two together LOL

  15. Yep - I own it.  Loved it, thought it was cute.  Yep made me cry.  h**l, watching horse races makes me cry, watching cutting makes me cry - not because I'm sad or happy, but because of a deep love of the animals and appreciation for the interaction between horse and human.  I get such an adrenaline rush watching it, I cry.

I don't feel I'm weak or anything, it's just me.  Whoever doesn't like it can just go away.  Don't worry about it - if it bothers you try to figure out why and deal with that.  I'd worry a bit about someone who never cried for any reason.

Watch it again for me - I don't have time.

  16. I loved the movie. I usually tear up whenever I see it (10+ times)

When it came out I actually had a buckskin and my mom was leasing a red/white paint. It was really funny when little kids came to the barn cause they were like 'OMG its spirit and rain!'.

Neither of them looked anything near as pretty though (buckskin was 17 and FAT. The paint was always looking beat up no matter what we did)

  17. If you hadn't cried when watching the movie then something would be wrong with you! LOL!

My friend has a mare that looks like spirit but she has dapples.

And whenever a child sees her that's the first thing they say.

  18. I cried like a baby... I think it is just because I love horses so much... sad movie. But a good one!

  19. I watched with my kids and yes I teared up. Same as that dang ole The Lion King. Now a days I'm so menopausal that I tear up at anything so perhaps I'm not the best judge.

On second thought I have to add that I still bawl like a little preschool girl who's pig tails were pulled when I watch Ole Yeller. That movie right there will make you feel like a sissy no matter what age you are.

  20. Thats a good movie, I didn't cry but I cried during Flicka

  21. Spirit always makes me tear up lol. its still one of my favorite movies hehe (^_^)
