The house has voted to apologize for slavery? Why did they do it?

Why do they not get real and apologize for turning the rest of us into slaves making us work for 50 percent of the time to pay for their c**p? Why are they apologizing for something that ended 165 years ago? Stupid? I think so what do you think?

OK you want a history lesson so here it is , 5000 black men some slaves and some free fought side by side in the revolutionary war against the British now the declaration of Independence that's for everybody right? these men laid down there life right? well they got screwed on the every one is equal part. you now know that our freedom from Britain isn't a white thing its black and white so yes we do need to apologize ,also we need to apologize for the trail of tears

Alright, first off because the c**p that you're talking about, people are still benefitting from. When slavery ended, THis country was still able to keep the riches it gained from it. Africa was given nothing. Imagine 400 years of people's work going into someone else's pockets. You're gonna make a lot of money, don't you think? That's exactly what happened with slavery. Also, though it ended, the scars did not heal. That's what happened with lynching, the grandfather clause, and black people being killed for trying to vote. The fact that you work for 50%, h**l at least you're not beaten, chained to the bottom of ships for MONTHS ON END with **** biting at you and having to pee and p**p ON YOURSELF AND WALLOW IN THAT FOR DAYS! just to get you to go to work. and at least you get something for your work. WE GOT NOTHING! Nobody is paying for us! h**l, if that was the case we wouldn't be having this conversation.

It's stupid to apolgise for slavery. I'm not sorry about it. The only thing I'm sorry about is that it ended. It was a good system and worked just like segregation did. It ought to be brought back.
