the boyfriends elsewhere.how long can he stay without it affecting the rent.they have two children

  1. If you are getting DLA, this is not a means tested benefit. Am I right in assuming that you get the care component on top of your DLA, as your daughter cares for you? Is she getting other benefits, such as child tax credits, housing benefit, council tax benefit and or income support/jobseekers allowance? These ones 'are' means tested. If your daughter's partner has a seperate postal address and brings his clothing and toothbrush etc with him on each visit, it could be argued that he is not living with you. I would suggest that you contact the CAB about this.


  2. it should be no more then 3 nights a week. and you should be aware that you have to declare any additional monies you have coming in ie child support from the father

  3. It would depend on whether he is earning. If he is, I'd say that he could only stay a few days.

  4. I think it is no more than 3 nights a week otherwise he is classed as living there and will have to pay rent
