  1. A.   It is never too early to learn a love of books.  At this age, the words not so important, just point out things like, see the red bird?  That man looks happy doesn't he?  Things like this.

  2. E.  Right after conception.

  3. I've always heard that the best time to start reading to your children is when they're an infant.  It's never too early!  And I've never ever heard of reading to a 2 or 3 year old causing brain damage...

  4. 2 or 3 but not to much or it will damage their brain, just a little one page a day.

  5. Maybe read to them at night when they're 2 or something ^.^

  6. reading to a kid at any age is good they love to look at pics and hear your voice also develops motor skills faster and they m ight learn how to read faster have dad read to kids love it i read to my 2 yr old daughter

  7. i know it may sound weird. and completely pointless. but I've hear that even reading to the infant is when they're still in the tummy is good. :D

  8. early infancy because even though they won't understand the words, they will see the colours.

  9. it would be best to start while pregnant.  the more you talk to the child the better his own speech and understanding of language will be.  plus, if they are exposed constantly from birth, they will appreciate books more and start reading earier.  i have read to my son since i was pregnant and he is 6 yrs old now and can read at a 4th grade level.

  10. I say pick up a book and start reading aloud ASAP!

  11. A. My little cousins and kids I babysit can read and most of them are under the age of 2½. Also, a majority of them know other languages, colors, the alphabet, and numbers. Teaching them at a young age helps their minds grow and helps them be more successful in life.

  12. a. early infancy

  13. A. early infancy... although a lot of people say you should read to your belly during pregnancy because the baby can hear and recognize the things you are saying.... but it is best to start reading as EARLY AS POSSIBLE!!! mother of 3

  14. Absolutely early infancy.  When you read regularly to your child, it has so many benefits. You bond more closely. Your child will have a better vocabulary and comprehension level when he starts talking.  He'll be more likely to want to learn to read and have an easier time of it early on, provided there are no roadblocks, such as dyslexia.  You must be taking a child growth and development class.  I really loved it, myself.

  15. a.  The bonding between infants and caregivers that occurs during reading is an important reason, as is the beneficial effect of reading on children's early language skills.  Use board books with infants up to about 3 if they are going to be handling the books alone, but read picture books to them regardless.  Sing to them as well.

  16. Early infancy for sure. although I read to my daughter from the time I know I was pregnant. It's never too early to start.

  17. As soon as possible!  My son is 5 and loves books.  My daughter is 2 and already sits and "reads" a book by herself.  The earlier you expose kids to books, the more they will love reading as they get older.

  18. a. the more u expose your child 2 stimulating things, colors the sound of your voice the better.

  19. You have a lot of questions.  The answer to this one is: A.  When people ask me this question, no matter what the child's age, I say, "yesterday".
