The iguana or the egg?

Which came first? The chicken sucks. Iguanas are cooler.

well the animal came first because god didnt make alot of eggs for animals he just made the animal itself XD!

The egg came first.

Something that was very, very close to an iguana, but not quite there, laid an egg.  That egg hatched the animal we know today as the iguana.

the iguana, wether or not this is a serious question, it was the iguana, if not at least youll consider this information

Life here supposedly started from the evolution of bacteria and micro organisms. So the easiest answer would be one day a reptile/amphibian evolved into the Iguana (even though the iguana came later in time you get the picture) but if you think about it, earlier species evolved into the species we know now so logically, one day an egg or batch of eggs hatched bearing the new species (the iguana)

the only real way to know would be to go back in time so when I do that Ill let you know what happened

Creationist: God created the animals NOT their larvae, or eggs.  The animals!

Evolutionist:  We came from single celled organisms which reproduced through cellular mitosis.  It was only through mutations in this mitosis that multi celled organisms evolved and became capable of sexual reproduction.  Therefore the parent creature must have evolved into something capable of creating an egg before the egg existed.
