The impact is substantial.  Paris is the most popular destination city in the world for tourists, so a large part of the local economy has some connection to tourism.  However, Paris is also a major European capital, surpassed in most respects only by London (and in front of London in many other respects), so the economy is hardly entirely dependent on tourism, even though tourism is a major industry.
