The importance of and the critical situation of diesel fuel stocks?

Is it just me or does anyone else realize the importance of diesel fuel and how without it our nation comes to a stop? Everything moves with diesel fuel,everything. If we don't do something about fuels production and maintaing ample reserves, we become more vulnerable than ever. Hey?

Hi, I agree that diesel fuels is a critical issue for any econony. Yet I believe that the biggest challenges are not related to the production and stock maintenance but to

1. the substitution of diesel with renewable forms of energy and

2. the improvement of oil efficiency of the American economy (GDP produced by one bl of oil).

Diesal fuel stocks sources are the same as those for gasoline and other petroleum products.  They will continue to be avaialable, probably at a gradually rising cost ont he international market.  The only way to get lower prices is to learn to lower demand for these fuels and find other sources for some of the current diesal needs.  For example, run diesal trains on elictic provided by nuclear.
