  2. No one can exactly predict but till the elections are over, the stock market in India will continue to remain volatile irrespective of global conditions. But, Nifty in the current range itself has given good buying opportunity for long term investors. Best thing is to buy good scrips now and keep it for 2 to 3 years.     You are asking a question were god only can give answer. Instead of looking short period, try to be a long term, wise investor. Nobody got anything from short term. If somebody got, they might have lost more. Have a Benjamin Graham and Warren Buffett approach. Select good companies and invest for long term. This will give you two advantages

    1. You don't need to worry when market is coming utter down

    2. You will certainly get very good returns. Some time the % of return will be more than your imagination.

    For your information: Once somebody asked to Merryl Lynch (the founder of Fidelity MF) about the status of market for coming days. His answer was interesting. He said "It just fluctuates".
