What will have the biggest impact upon the world in this century? What will people say happened that changed the world the most 100 years from now?

Actually, the industrial revolution started in the 1800's. I believe the next revolution will be in medicine.

Actually, the industrial revolution hit in England first, didn't it?  

That said, the Internet provides the biggest shift in world paradigms since the printing press did.  We have so much fun with it, we overlook just what a huge change it's bringing. We no longer need to count on "information providers" for all our news and viewpoints. While we need to be more careful about what we accept, of what we find on the 'Net, we also have access to far more sources.
