The integrity of my Digital radio leaves a great deal to be desired?

Question

as the reception breaks up from time to time. I noticed this also with my TV that the signal breaks up.

Could it be the area that I live in that is the problem as even with my digital TV i need to use an indoor booster for my outside ariel in order to receive a decent picture.

And this is called progress never has this problem with my FM radio.
