The iphone and AT&T?

Question

First Question can the iphone be used on a pre-paid plan from at&t ??

Secondly i have a sim card form at&t that i have not been using for almost a year because the phone died i did'nt bother to replace the phone but went to a completly different company alltogether. i still

have the number so was wondering if it's still valid. (the # is a pre paid number) i would like to know as soon as possible any info would be appreciated

If  you have an at&t sim you are a member of their services. And the number must be valid because they can't kick you off the "number server" just because you don't use the phone.

about your first question I'm not so sure about but i think its not possible with the 3g. But with the old version yes it is.
