  2. Yeah and if you get a decent job, they will expect you to start making payments!

    Each year you will get a notice of the remaining balance.  It will continue to grow due to penalties and interest.

    "Currently not collectible" is not the same thing as forgiven.

  4. Yes. One of the conditions of being placed in that status is that any refunds will apply to the balance.

  5. Sure it is.  You owe the money, they've just agreed that they can't collect from you right now since you aren't able to pay.  But the stimulus is extra money, and you ARE able to pay that.
