The jets getting brett farve

now that jets got brett farve. Does anyone think they're gunna go to the superbowl?

I would say that Favre is an upgrade from Pennigton.  If they could have a winning seasons with that dude.  I think they will be playoff worthy now.  The superbowl is a bit out of reach, you need an elite team with chemistry for that.  That isn't going to happen to the Jets over night.  Though, they do get to play Miami twice, so that might help :P.

After what Favre said at his news conference, I doubt his heart is in it.  Older QBs that switch teams don't usually do that well.  Joe Montana going from the 49ers to the Chiefs is the best example of that.  Brett the Jet will flame out.

i think brett is a fantastic qb, but i think the jets are not good enough to help him, and i don't think that he will learn the jets playbook fast enough to help them. The jets will probably win 8-10, which may be enough to get them into the playoffs, but the colts, chargers, pats, jaguars, steelers, and even the browns still appear to be better, so i doubt they'll have a chance for the super bowl

It takes more than one qb to go to the superbowl, although brett farve would be the one to do it. its gonna look weird seeing him in a jets jersey.

honestly , if the packers and farve couldnt do it, there is no way the jets can because the packers had a more rounded team then jets.

This can go one of two ways; obviously:

1. Favre to the Jets is like when Joe Montana went to the Chiefs in 1994-he takes a struggling franchise and makes it an instant playoff contender.

2. Favre to the Jets becomes a legend on one team going to another team and is unable to find his old magic. Like Emmitt Smith with the Cardinals.
