Pyro's dismal performance in the Bluegrass Stakes was discouraging. But I still think he can make the 1 1/4 distance of the Kentucky Derby. War Pass' effort in the Wood Memorial was pretty good. (Keep in mind he did run the beginning of the race in blazing fractions) Big Brown's performance in the Florida Derby was amazing. He won by 5 lengths and led the way. Gayego's performance on dirt at Oaklawn was impressing. He held off a game Z Fortune to win the Arkansas Derby. Visionaire's fifth place finish in the Bluegrass Stakes was okay. His late running style like in the Gotham Stakes was not seen.
