My key does work "manually" to lock/unlock and it still works in the ignition. I went to Radio Shack and I replaced the battery inside the key itself but it did not fix the problem.

  1. Tell all your  friends Merkado Tech. In Gilroy CA. can help you out for half what the dealer

  2. It sounds like you may need to have the keys re-programmed.  It only costs $50, no matter how many keys it is.  Contact the nearest dealership.  Only Lexus can program the keys.

  3. Go to the Dealer and let them fix/replace it.

  4. the lock actuators on that vehicle go out all the time .... thats your problem. getting them out arent as easy as you think

  5. go to the lexus dealer ship and see if they'll somehow replace it or something. is there a spare?

  6. 1. put the alarm under your chin, open your mouth and press the button.

    2. go switch out the lock actuators, 5 bucks on ebay or you can use the actuators from a toyota corolla

    3. reprogramming the remote is a Do It Yourself job you can do it yourself.

i can give you a picture of the DIY job, i have done it to my 02 gs300. programmed it myself.

  7. Remotes are battery powered.  There is a way to get into it.  You'll have to take it off the key ring first.  After that, it may twist apart, pry apart, etc.  If youare unsure, take it toa  Lexus dealer, they will know how to change the battery.
