The laptop reads Service error

Question

The laptop reads Service error 5100 when I try to print. The light on the Canon printer also blinks 2x. I tried turning them off and off as the book suggests. I would like for it to print but I was actually trying to find out if the printer can be set up to print checks written from Quicken?thanks,Lisa Moody
