It's either (1) the Mam, (2) the Kaqchikel, (3) the Yucatec, or (4) the Kiche'.

I'm pretty sure that it's the kiche, but i'm not sure. Please help; thanks! :)

  1. There are so many variations of Mayan languages spoken, but variations of K'iche would be the most commonly spoken with Mam being second, then Kaqchikel.

  2. I lived in Guatemala for some time and was required to rigorously study the Mayan culture.  So to shed some light on your question... the only true, original Maya language was/is the K'iché... The K'iché that is spoken in Guatemala today is no longer the same as the K'iché that was spoken over one thousand years ago.  So the original Maya language is now a dead language.  After the fall of the Mayan empire, various descendant groups developed.

These groups adapted the original K'iché language into other dialects, the most commonly known as Mam, K'aqchiquel, Yucatec, in addition to about 21 other dialects (exact numbers are unknown since new native groups and new dialects still emerge).  The most widely spoken of these dialects is the new K'iché (spelled Quiché to differentiate it from the original), followed by K'aqchiquel and Mam.

These dialects are not classified as Mayan languages since the groups that speak them are not true Maya.  They are Mayan descendants, but not actual Mayans.

    I really hope this helps.
